Ms. Cathy: My passion for education began when I started homeschooling my four children in 1993. In 1997 I became the founder and director of American Heritage Academy. This K-8th faith based private school was born out of the multiple request from parents looking for an alternative to public education. I wrote the ‘Live and Learn ‘section for Desert Saints Magazine for four years. My future plans are to write a chronological historical fiction series for children. My object is to not only teach history, but to illustrate how history repeats itself and that human nature really does not evolve or change. I would like to empower parents to be the core of their children's education.
